To celebrate 25 years of the 26m radio telescope's operation in Tasmania, as well what would have been Grote Reber's 100th birthday, the Observatory and Museum are holding a community fair. Currently the UTas School of Mathematics and Physics is seeking expressions of interest from potential stall holders - community, science themed, food & beverage, craft or local produce as well as entertainers are urged to apply.Go to the Back to Mt Pleasant Day page

Congratulations to all the Space Poetry Competition entrants. A special congratulations to Madeleine Lowi-Genn of Montello Primary School for her prize-winning submission and Brian Etges, Mountain Heights School (Second Place). Madeleine will receive a Grote Reber Museum prize pack as well as an annual family subscription to the Friends of Mt Pleasant.
